An Islamic History--Nauroz is not only Iran's new year,but it has its own history also

It is narrated from hadrat Muala Bin Khamees (who was Imam Jafar Sadiq's companion) that :on the day of Nauroz I went to see Imam Jafar(as), Imam said
1) It is the day when Allah took the oath from the souls of men that they will consider Him [i:post_uid1]Wahdahu La Shareek[/i:post_uid1] and will not worship anyone except Him.

2)It is the day when the first ray of sunlight touched the earth.

3)It is the day when the ship of Prophet Noah(as) after the flood,reached the mount of Jodee and got still

4)On this day,one of the prophets of Allah(Hadrat Kharqeel) saw some old bones,he asked Allah that how can HE make these bones Alive? Allah revealed him to sprinkle water over those old bones,he did so and those men (on whose bones he sprinkled the water) stood alive.[i:post_uid1] This is the reason that we sprinkle water over each other on this day of Nauroz.

5)This is day when Ameer'ul Momineen stood on the shoulders of Rasoolillah and broke the idols which were placed in Ka'ba.

6)This is the day when the event of [I]Ghadeer[/i:post_uid1] took place.

7)This was the day when Hadrat Ali took the took the Caliphate after the murder of Uthman.

8)This was the day when Ameer'ul Momineen(as) won the war of Naharwan.

9)This will be the day when Hadrat Mehdi will unveil himself.

10)This will be the day when all other Imams will also do rija't towards earth.

after saying all this Imam Sadiq(as) said that this day belongs to us and our shias. Do Ghusl this day,wear clean and perfumed dresses,Fast. and pray (and also told to pray some special prayers ,I am not writing how to say those special prayers which he told his companion)
