Scheme of Examination
It is a three stage examination-
(a) Preliminary Examination (Objective type)
(b) Mains examination (Written Type)
(c) Personality Test (Interview)
Preliminary Examination
It will consist of two papers:
Part- I (General Knowledge):
It will include day-to-day happenings around India and the World with special reference to-

- General Science (8 Marks)
- Current event of national and International Importance (10 Marks)
- History of india (8 Marks)
- Indian National Movement (8 Marks)
- Indian polity & Economy (8 Marks)
- World Geography and Population (8 Marks)
Part- II (Law):
It will cover the following Acts with number of questions indicated as under-
- Indian Penal Code (35)
- Criminal Procedure Code (25)
- Indian Evidence Act (25)
- Police Act & Regulations (15)
Syllabus For Main Examination
(A) Written Examination:
It consist of four papers-
- General Knowledge (100 Marks)
- General Hindi (100 Marks) [Question paper will be of High School Standard]
- Criminal law & Procedure (Police Act & Regulations) (100 Marks) [Question Paper will be of Law Degree Standard]
- Law of Evidence (which will include Direct and Applied questions) (100 Marks) [Question Paper will be of Law Degree Standard]
Note: All question papers shall be of three hours.
(B) Personality Test (25 marks)
Note:
1. The suitability of the candidate shall be assessed with reference to his capacity, character, personality and physical fitness.
2. The marks obtained in written test will be added to that obtained in personality test to consider the place of the candidate.
